Since iOS 11, Apple has enabled the management of files within the “Files” app on iPhone and iPad
That was probably one of the features most users have been wanting for a while as it was sometimes cumbersome to attempt to manage them within each app, depending on what type of file you were creating.
On our way to the future where the only thing we’ll use is a digital “terminal” device instead of a regular laptop or desktop computer to access everything and anything, we’re getting access to our files on mobile devices in a much easier way.
The Files app connects with all your third party cloud storage apps like Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud Drive, OneDrive, Box and more.
It allows you to browse any files stored in any of these locations within one convenient interface.
The only downside is that the Files app cannot access your other storage apps if they’re password-protected as it needs to authenticate with them so you’ll have to remove any passcode-lock on them.
It seems to us that we won’t need our regular computers for very long and will probably be using fantastic tablets such as the iPad Pro…
