With the new home button on iPhone 7, you can choose how to unlock it, your way

The new home button on iPhone 7 is not a real mechanical button, it’s a “software” one.

This has helped Apple make the iPhone thinner with fewer parts under the home button.

Now that it can do both the “press” and “touch” to unlock your iPhone, which one do you prefer?

By default, you now have to press with one of your TouchID fingers to unlock it.

But what if you don’t want to press but simply “rest” your finger on the home button to unlock?

How to change the setting

Simply go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Home Button > turn “on” “Rest finger to open”.

Voila!

You can now simply rest your finger on the home button to unlock your iPhone instead of having to press it.
